Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026 · Applies to the Flipspark iOS app and this website

Flipspark is published by Falo Games, which is responsible for the data described here. This policy explains what information the game and this website handle, why, who receives it, and the choices you have.

The game

On your device. Your campaign progress, records, character, boutique items, settings, saved runs and duel codes are stored on your iPhone. There is no account and no cloud save. Deleting the app deletes this data.

Online boards (optional). Nothing about you is sent to our server until you choose to join the boards in the game. When you join, the app creates a random player ID, not linked to your Apple ID or Game Center, and sends it to the Flipspark server run by Falo Games together with your character's generated nickname, the country you choose (it starts as your device region), your language, the app version and the platform. The server gives you a friend code. From then on the app sends your scores and runs (score, lines, combo, the board and your moves, so that a run can be checked by replaying it), your progress (islands restored and mastery sparks), the friends you add by friend code, the link duels you create or answer, and the achievements you unlock.

Who sees it. Your nickname, country, friend code and scores appear on the boards and in duels, where other players can see them. We use this data only to run the boards, friends and duels and to keep them fair. We do not sell it and do not use it for advertising.

Leaving the boards erases your record. When you leave the boards in the game's Settings, the app stops sending anything and asks our server to erase your nickname, friend code, scores, friendships and achievements; link duels you played no longer carry your name. If you delete the app without leaving the boards first, the record stays on the server until you ask us to erase it (see below).

Connections to our server. Like any server, ours receives your IP address when the app connects. We use it for security and to prevent abuse, including a country estimate that is never shown to anyone, and keep server logs only briefly. At launch the app also downloads ad pacing settings and event listings from the same server; these requests carry no player ID and happen whether or not you join the boards.

Duels. Code duels need no server: you share a code that describes a board and a result with whoever you choose. Link duels are stored on our server (the board, both results, the nicknames and countries) so that your friend can open them; a link can be answered for 24 hours.

Game Center. Optional. If you sign in, Apple syncs your achievements under Apple's own privacy terms. Flipspark does not send your Game Center identity to our server.

Advertising. Flipspark is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: banners on menu screens, full-screen ads between islands and when you return to the app, and rewarded ads you choose to watch. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information such as your IP address, device and app information and your interactions with ads and, only if you allow tracking, your device's advertising identifier. Google uses it to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices before any ad loads, and you can reopen it from Settings in the game. iOS also asks whether Flipspark may track you: ads are personalised only if you allow it, and you can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Google's use of data is described in Google's partner policy.

No purchases. Flipspark has no in-app purchases. We never receive payment details.

Analytics. The game contains no third-party analytics.

This website

Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, time) for security and to keep the site running; they are kept briefly. With your consent, the pages use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read; Google Analytics then receives your IP address and browser information. Under the EU GDPR and the UK GDPR, the legal basis for this is your consent. The duel invitation page remembers your language choice in your browser's local storage. The site shows no ads.

Cookies

The only cookie this website always sets is flipspark_cookie_consent, which remembers your cookie choice for six months. It is strictly necessary and does not require consent.

Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*, kept for up to two years) are only set if you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Until you do, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; withdrawing removes the analytics cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser.

Children

Flipspark is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where required, ads are served in a non-personalized mode for users under the applicable age of consent.

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to its use. The quickest way to delete your online record is to leave the boards in the game. For anything else, including erasing a record after you deleted the app, write to us at falolittlegames@gmail.com and include your friend code if you have one. Requests about Game Center go to Apple, and requests about ads to Google. If you are in the EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority, or in the UK to the Information Commissioner's Office.

If this policy changes, the date above will be updated and the new version published here.
